Hi Guys (and Ladies),
I am currently doing a crazy exercise of geting all my meta data for my movies and series and it's going very well so far, however, some of my stuff is saved as CD1 and CD2, I'd like to get these merged together as one without losing quality, etc. Can anyone recomend any programs which would be good for this?
I can probably use the standard Windows Movie Maker but I am worried about losing quality....
Use VirtualDUB (freeware).
Open VirtualDUB. Choose Direct Stream Copy from the options. Open Video File 1. Choose Append Video File. Open Video File 2. Save File.
Direct Stream Copy means no encoding is done. Note that both source videos must have the same framerate, otherwise VirtualDUB refuses to join them.
Also, I don't have VirtualDUB open here in front of me, so the names of the menu options may vary slightly. But you should be able to figure it out.
There may be other tools out there that join video files in less steps or more easily, but I haven't used them...
;)
Great, thanks for the suggestion Morgue. I'll check it out this weekend....
Thanks for the reminder, i should have followed up.
I use an app for win media centre called media browser which kicks serious arse, in the settings it has an option to keep on playing all video's in a folder, and as each movie has it's own folder it automatically moves onto the next file, its as smooth as silk wwith no menu's or interruptions. So now the problem is all sorted :-)
