  Well, I wouldn't say that I'm disappointed (that would imply that PCD forum members have an obligation to fulfill that they have been neglecting). But rather, I'd really like to see more forum members going out of their way to help others. There are few things more satisfying or rewarding.

  I agree here, I was by no means implying that I am disapointed in any select members, rather our readship as a whole.
  
  BUT, I also have no right to complain. I don't provide many solutions for other challenges on the forum here. I do try but don't have the necessary skills/experience I am afraid.

  I think we all fall short of knowing everything. That's why tech support sites like this are beneficial to visit - they make you smarter. Of course, if there's just Spam and Jokes, then there's no real benefit to be drawn. I'm not saying that they don't have their place, but they shouldn't overshadow the tech stuff, in my opinion.
  
  Anyway, I apologise for taking this thread so far off track. Hopefully I'll get the time to google your wireless problem sometime this weekend (although I'm currently committed to doing things non-stop until at least 2pm Sunday.........)

  Hmm, I haven't really had the chance to look at this thread yet...
  
  But reading through it now, it could be some sort of wireless interference... If the format doesn't resolve the issue, you can maybe try troubleshooting for EMI (Electromagnetic interference)
  
  I.e. When I used a wireless mouse and keyboard, the receiver could not be placed to close to the monitor (because of the inherent electromagnetic field) without it ceasing to work and needing a reconnect...
  
  So if the problem persists, I suggest switching off all non-essential electronic (and even all electrical) equipment and appliances and seeing if the problem still occurs. One by one, switch them on to see which might be causing the problem.
  
  Also, if you're feeling fit, you could try moving the PC to a different area and see if the problem still occurs...
  
  This is just an idea of what it might be... Always remember that it doesn't only have to be "wireless" components that interfere with wireless signals

  I seriously don;t think it's anything to do with the KB and mouse as it works perfectly on my laptop (without moving anything - so the receiver, KB and mouse were all in exactly the same place). My suspicion is it was related to power management on the mobo/windows.
  
  Now, since the format for the brief time I used the PC last night it was 100% perfect, which again leads me to thinking it's not EMI with the wireless signal.

  OK, I guess it's not 100% perfect anymore, it's gone back to being 100% [censored] up!
  
  I now have no idea why, what I can tell you is that it only happens when the CPU is under load, anything more then 10% causes the issue. If it stays under load for a period of time then the PC "loses" the KB and mouse until I unplug it and re-plug it back in...

  I wish I knew enough about wireless connections to be able to help you out. Unfortunately, I've never really worked with any wireless hardware (apart from one mouse that was so finicky that I eventually recommended that the person replace it with a corded mouse).
  
  In one of your previous comments, you say "since the format". Does this mean that you have formatted the PC with this wireless issue? If so, what operating system have installed on it? Are the correct drivers installed for the wireless components?
  
  Additional points to consider: If these wireless components were working fine for (whatever period of time they were working fine for), and they only started to exhibit this behaviour recently, then either 1) something has started to interfere with their signal (test the PC and its wireless components in a different physical location, like a friend's house), or 2) the wireless components have suffered a problem, or 3) the motherboard's wireless support has suffered a problem. Those are the only possible variables (since you've eliminated the software and the operating system by formatting... unless 4) new driver software has been released recently for those components, and was automatically downloaded and installed on your previous operating system and your newly installed operating system).
  
  As for wireless monitoring software, you might want to download this 2.7mb utility to "monitor the status of wireless WiFi adapter(s) and gather information about nearby wireless access points and hot spots in real time":

  Don't let this issue get to you bud, we'll get it sorted out. Separating the possible causes into the four points above may help in being able to isolate the root cause.
