Hey guys so I bought a new motherboard a while ago and I have been trying to get it to slow the fans down forever, long story short. I'm out of options and was wondering if you guys could help.
Basically I have an Asus P5Q SE2 and the fans are on 100% spin constantly. It can be 10 degrees C and the CPU and extra fans spin at full.
How do I know they spin at full? Well I used to have a p5n32-sli and the cpu fan used to spin slower....much slower, so did all the extra fans that plug into the motherboard.
Before you ask, I'll hit you with some info.
Yes I have changed the bios settings to anything and everything regarding fan speed.
Yes I have tried speedfan, it makes now difference.
Yes I have the latest bios.
The graphics card fan changes speed.
Fan speeds are as follows:
CPU : 2800 rpm (reference cooler)
92mm chassis: 3100 rpm
120mm chassis fan: 1800 rpm
