  Hey again guys
  i currently have a nvidia 512mb GTS250 -
  and i would like to buy a 1Gb Radeon HD5770 -http://www.comx-computers.co.za/CGAX-57724IDP-Club-3D-Radeon-HD-5770-1GB-graphics-card- Information-Price-Buy-Cheap-p-29721.php
  Now the question is, is it really worth the upgrade, time, money?
  As you can see i can get the 5770 for R1665
  but is it really an improvement?
  with my current card i run
  -Bad Company 2 smoothly at medium graphics x1 AA max res (19' benq wide screen)
  -COD MW2 smoothly at high graphics x1 AA max res (19' benq wide screen)
  -DAO smoothly at medium graphics x1 AA max res (19' benq wide screen)
  -AC2 smoothly at medium graphics x1 AA max res (19' benq wide screen)
  
  Now my question is how would the HD5770 1gb perform in the following games? (FPS, Resolution, Graphics, and AA)
  is it worth the cash?
  are there any other cards you guys recommend?
  i have about R2000

  It sounds like you have more money than you know what to do with.
  
  Your current card is fine, in my opinion. I don't think you'll see a huge improvement. It depends on the specs of the rest of your system.
  
  My suggestion? Save your money and wait to do a proper upgrade that you *know* will knock your socks off.

  indeed but i will only have 2000 once i have sold my old card + PSU
  What PSU should i get?
  a new idea came to mind.
  im want to buy this card then in a while when i have the cash buy another then go Crossssfire! :D
  i was looking at some benchmark test etc...
  and what card would knock my sox off?

  So, let me get this straight.
  
  You are going to sell your current GFX card (GTS250 512MB) and PSU, and you then plan to buy a new Radeon 5770 1GB yes?
  
  What is going to power your PC? You can't get a decent PSU for R400 (IMO - at least not one from a reputable brand that one could rely on. )
  
  Crossfire/SLi is a bit of a meh. You would get more benefit in your gaming from buying a R5000 card than 2 X R2000 ones and trying to crossfire them. You'll probably need a bigger PSU for crossfire anyway than just using 1 card.

  Ai...Finances are not the issue the fact of the matter is i have a buyer and thats not the only money i have and i will have enough to buy a 600w psu (recommened for HD5770 crossfire..) i dont have 5000 and i can get the cards for 1600 each so please only comment if its going to help me not treat me like an fool of some sort.. just to satisfy your thoughts Hawk i have R1600 + R1300 (card and PSU) that leaves R2000 for a card and 900 for PSU and BF:BC2
