I do have HAV. Got all new stuff just a while ago even though my old stuff did support it already.
Oh yes, still wanted to comment on 32 /64 bit. lol
SD, nothing wrong with 32 bit. I infact had win 7 32 bit for quite a while before getting myself the 64 bit one seeing as i've been running it since the first beta versions. Personally i just like the quicker response i get outta my pc with 64 bit
O.o
There is no increased performance ('a quicker response') to be had from 64-bit. You only benefit from the increased memory space that can be addressed, which might speed things up - if you're doing major multitasking with programs that are very memory-intensive. For normal day-to-day, 64-bit gives no 'increased 'speed' over 32-bit.
I would go 64bit if there was a performance gain, especially in games, without buying more memory. But currently developers arent coding a lot of things for 64bit specifically. So although it may be true in that applications do run faster, very few of those applications are games or end user products.
PS: Decided not to buy windows 7 as I dont really need it and it doenst really do anything for me. Gonna maybe wait a while, unless someone cons me into it....
Must be mind over matter then coz to me it clearly seems more responsive on 64 bit. I'll bench both tonight and post screenies tomorrow how's that?
Perhaps is your shiny new hardware from China that makes everything feel faster? :)
Well my 64bit Ubuntu certainly felt a bit snappier and responsive than my 32bit Ubuntu. Not that it was slow to begin with.
