Thanks, I'll use Windows Update to nab it. I'm just reporting on all my Windows 7 stuff in this thread ;) Others are welcome to do so too!
As you may have seen in the WDM thread, I solved the video capture problem - at the expense of a lot of things that make Win7 worthwhile having.
Downloaded Windows Movie Maker via Windows Update (thanks Nigs).
For those of you keeping score, of the four initial problems that I had with Windows 7, three of them have been resolved. The last hurdle? Installing/enabling drivers for my Sound Blaster Live! Digital Entertainment sound card. However, I have a feeling that installing the necessary drivers may introduce some of the same instability that I noted in the WDM thread... BlueScreens galore. Which means that in the end, my upgrade to Windows 7 will force me to buy a new TV Card and a new Sound Card.
!huh
Oh still having a problems? haha :)
Installed Ubuntu 9.10beta on my netbook about 2 weeks ago. Everything works perfectly out of the box- wireless, webcam, card reader alles. Is awesome :)
Hey noobies ... been using WIn 7 for the past 6 months...
I have had little to no issues or complains regarding win7 ...
Even the beta is better than Win Xp ... sorry but Vista wasnt a OS ... it was just a failed experiment.
I noticed something on the connection side that it on occasion bombs out but nothing a restart cant fix.
I also have routesentry installed and have a local and international connection running at the same time without problems...
I installed RTM 64-bit and got it to blue screen within 2 min of startup so reverted back to RC1 (build 7100)
At this point i'll wait for the full release before i go over since my RC is running problem free :)
