Actually, you should still be able to press DEL to enter your BIOS setup (as quickly as you can when that screen is shown). In your BIOS, you can disable the memory count... but I'm not sure if that will have any beneficial effect...Enigma_2k4
...then never doing it's thing counting the memory. Because it can't get past that it's hasn't yet loaded up the KB or mouse so that is nothing I can do...

It would be nice to think that no matter where in the world a particular manufacturer's products are sourced, that they are of the same quality as can be found elsewhere.
However, that's not always the case. This may be due to the channels used to distribute the product, or perhaps the factory/factories that they are shipped from in different parts of the world (if the manufacturer uses different factories or fabs - which makes sense depending on the distribution model they use and the scope of their operations).
Of course, being in the shipping industry, you know this already.
My suggestion - if you keep having obscure issues like this, consider replacing your entire system. Sell the components or the whole PC on GumTree to recoup some of the costs, and then order new stuff from the ground up.
At least then you can be sure that whatever future problems you may have are not related to Nigerian distribution channels, or maybe caused by shipping the PC down here from north Africa, etc.
