In theory you can hack any HDD based device.
PVR - know to be hackable.
PS3 and 360 - In theory its 100% doable.
The list goes on.
I hacked my dads archos and put a 160gig HDD which doubled the capacity. It worked plus he didnt need to send it to France for 4 weeks to get it repaired.
It's not hard-I opened up the archos and removed the data cable and screws then inserted the new drive and connected everything back up. Didnt have any help of any kind-Just a screw and a bit of nout.
Hmmm it sounds like it could work. But i dont have a ps3 and even if i did, i would probably not do this to it.....R6500 is just too much to sacrifice.
Nice article though, Thanks mayhem
I cant remember the model but the HDD was a noetbook drive. Open up your archos to find out.
Also if you hack your PVR you will replace a HDD that is know for over heating. I hacked the PVR with a new fan and my dad was pleased as it cost him 1 days TV and R100 instead of R350.
Sorry for all the questions frozen. Was it an Archos portable HDD or an archos Media Player?
Cool. thanks
