Done using an alpha channel and lens blur that changes focal distance...
If you want to see clearly, wait for the sig to load for a while, then look at the soldiers on the right hand side of the sig =O
The fade effect is very subtle/smooth MaT - how many frames did you use to achieve it? Initial indications are 113.
If only my animations were as smooth :)

Yip, I checked the psd and 113 is correct...
It actually involved doing 8 lens blurs (in increments of 32 fractions of 256) and tweening the rest of the frames in =P
The lens blur was based on a copy of the green channel.
We should maybe get together for some PS goodness sometime with lala as well =P
