A few other interesting Thermite experiments from Brainiac:
nice vid, if you make thermite i suggest you ignite it over a big glass beaker of water, thats how we contain it in A Level chemistry when we get to playThe nicest is that you can make it... Its basically a mixture of Iron Oxide Powder (Powdered Rust) and Aluminum Powder... Both obtainable from a chemist... Then in order to ignite the mixture to start the Thermite reaction you need to have a magnesium wick (This is because Magnesium burns hot enough to ignite the substances) For more info see How to make Thermite or watch this video...
