Ghxst which CTI are you studying at?
I'm an instructor at CTI Bedfordview and I would defnitely suggest going with C# ...
I totally agree with Aikepah that it will be the next big thing, everything in C# is just so easy (even compared to Java which I personally think suck) and combined with the power of ASP 2.0 it is just mindblowing.
C++ is just way to difficult a language to learn as a first language, once you have an easier OO language under the knee it will be much easier to learn C++ on your own. I wouldn't recommend VB.Net either ... it gave me the heebiegeebies (it will work perfectly on one PC but not at all on another ... it is very frustrating).
You didn't mention Java but as previously stated i think it sucks compared to C# ... the reason I asked where you are studying is because the demand for some llanguages are different in certain areas ... currently Gauteng is on the Java bandwagon while in Cape Town there is a big demand for C# programmers. That wouldn't put me off from going with C# though.
Good luck with your decision!
