I'm pretty sure you can still get that on Steam, just go to Valve's site:

BEST GAME EVA.

Bought it yesterday and been playing it ever since. I tried to play another game after playing this for a while, it just wasn't the same. In Mirror's Edge, you can jump, slide, wall-run-jump, vault, roll across the enviroment. Wowee, it is awesome. It's also cool because the gameplay isn't focused on combat/weapon's etc. It is more focused on evasion and if you do run into trouble with enemies, disarming them (with some super slick moves (punches, sliding kicks, jumping kicks) is pretty fun.

The graphics, and style is amazing! The shadows, the lighting everything

I agree, this game looks AWESOME.

I played it very briefly on my PC (before I formatted to install Win7, I think). Unfortunately, it didn't play very smoothly (thanks to my 4-year-old CPU and GFX card), but I was still very impressed with it.

Looking forward to playing it properly one day

I had a small problem with it locking up whenever it needed to do some heavy PhysX stuff (which my GTX280 supports.) I.e in the first chapter you are chased by a SWAT team firing at you and you have to evade them. In the building are a number of glass cases, and whenver theses got hit by a bullet it would lockup.

Downloaded the patch for it (1.01) and now PhysX is working as it should. It doesn't alter the game in a mind blowing way, but it certainly does help with the immersion of onself into the world. Espicially when bullets rip into cloth/material coverings etc.

I'm only halfway though, will report back some more closer to the end!

Is performing all those fancy moves not tricky on the PC?

Nah you got a mouse, and WASD to move around, spacebar to jump/wallrun shift to crouch/slide/roll (depends on how fast you are going, if you falling etc), Q to rotate 180/90deg. Thing is though, it's how you string the moves together, the more moves you string together the more "momentum" you have and thus you will end up going faster/jumping higher and further etc.

There is also "Reaction Time" which is sort of like super slow-mo matrix bullet time sorta stuff, when you press it, everything goes super slow so if there is a complicated string of moves to perform you can hit "R" and that helps a bit. You have to recharge it though by building momentum so the faster you move for longer, the more you will be able to use it

I must say though, when you get into full flow, and you are streaming across the city, jumping, vaulting, wall-running and rolling in one fluid motion it is exhilarating. It's a bit like Parkour.

Awesome game. It kept crashing on my after stage 3 and lost all the movement commands, so I couldn't play it anymore.

It's called DRM. They put in DRM to do that if you have a pirate copy. Proper patches have been release now at least.

Dunno, I don't have a console. I don't think it would make much difference to be honest.
