Features The guide is written in straight-forward language with an emphasis on showing the reader how to do something rather than boring them with technical jargon and irrelevant background. Other features of the manual include: - * Progressive learning curve - start with the basics, and learn as you work through each chapter * Dozens of languages - translated into more than 50 languages, including localized screenshots * No cost - our documents are all written by Ubuntu community members and there is no charge to use them * Troubleshooting section - to help you solve common Ubuntu problems quickly Download The manual is available as a free PDF download (around 4.5MB) or printed copies can be purchased through the online printing service Lulu. from here ![]() Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" 64bit (Desktop) and 32bit (Netbook)

The first 4 chapters or so don't have any command prompt's as far as I know. We wanted to keep it really really basic in the begining and get to the more advanced stuff near the end. They may have changed that though. I know I wrote a section about hardware and whatever, and I had a whole bunch of commands. Then at the weekly meeting on IRC (since we come from all over the world - haha really geeky) Someone brought it up, so I had to fix it. I haven't actually looked at the final product yet P.S. I would hazard a guess saying there is no CLI stuff in the first 120 pages! Go check it out and see for yourself!![]() Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" 64bit (Desktop) and 32bit (Netbook)
